Terms of Service

Loviso is a digital keepsake platform that helps families preserve voices, photos, handwritten notes and life stories in beautifully designed, shareable keepsakes. Loviso is operated by Loviso Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. You can reach us at support@myloviso.com.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create a Loviso account. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@myloviso.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You retain full ownership of everything you upload to Loviso — photos, audio, video, written stories, contributions from family members and any other material ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

To operate the Service you grant Loviso a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, back up, transcode, compress, encrypt, index and display Your Content solely so we can deliver the Service to you and to people you explicitly share your keepsakes with. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for backups retained for a short period as described in our Privacy Policy.

You promise that: (a) you own Your Content or have the rights and permissions needed to upload it; (b) any voices, images and stories of other people were captured with their knowledge or with lawful authority; and (c) Your Content does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law.

You agree not to use Loviso to:

• upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful or sexually exploitative;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with anyone featured in a keepsake;
• upload malware, attempt to breach the Service, reverse-engineer it or scrape it at scale;
• resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service without a written commercial licence from us;
• use the Service to send unsolicited marketing to third parties.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules or that put other users, or Loviso itself, at risk.

Loviso offers one-time keepsakes and recurring membership plans (Starter, Family, Creator and, when available, Business). Current pricing is shown on our Pricing page. Prices are in pounds sterling and, where applicable, inclusive of VAT.

One-time keepsakes are hosted for the period stated at checkout (typically 12 months from purchase). Membership plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then.

Unused monthly keepsakes roll over up to the cap stated on the Pricing page. Rollover credits are non-transferable and expire when your membership ends.

Because keepsakes are digital content that is made available to you immediately, you agree that your statutory right to withdraw from the purchase ends as soon as you begin creating a keepsake. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact support@myloviso.com within 14 days and we will investigate in good faith.

You can invite family and friends to view or contribute to a keepsake using a private link or an email invitation. Anyone with a valid link can access the keepsake, so please share thoughtfully. You are responsible for the invitations you send and for revoking access when a link should no longer be active.

You can download your keepsakes and the underlying media at any time while your account is active. We recommend keeping your own backup in addition to the copies stored on Loviso.

We work hard to keep Loviso available and to protect your memories. However, we provide the Service on an "as available" basis. We may occasionally take the Service offline for maintenance, upgrades or security reasons, and we may change or discontinue features over time. Where changes materially reduce the value of a paid plan, we will give you reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rata refund.

Loviso relies on trusted infrastructure partners for hosting, storage, payments, transactional email and analytics. These partners process data on our behalf under written agreements. Some optional integrations (for example social sign-in) are governed by the terms of the relevant third party in addition to these Terms.

The Loviso brand, website, application, templates, typefaces, illustrations and underlying software are owned by Loviso or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them solely as part of the Service. Loviso Creator subscribers receive a commercial licence to use the delivered keepsakes in their own client work, as described on the Pricing page.

If you believe content on Loviso infringes your copyright, please email support@myloviso.com with a description of the work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact details and a good-faith statement that you are entitled to act on behalf of the rights holder. We will investigate and remove content where appropriate.

You can close your Loviso account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued use of the Service creates a risk to Loviso or to other users. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to export Your Content first.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will meet every requirement you have.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, Loviso's total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Loviso in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data beyond what is required by law.

You agree to indemnify Loviso against reasonable losses arising from your breach of these Terms or from Your Content, except to the extent those losses are caused by our own negligence or wrongdoing.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will let you know by email or through the Service before it takes effect. Your continued use of Loviso after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them, except that if you are a consumer resident in another EU country you may bring proceedings in your country of residence.
